2013 Wedgetail Estate Single Vineyard Pinot Noir

“Shows excellent concentration with rich, red cherry fruit and cedary oak combining well on the nose. Forest floor flavours are developing, but there’s still sweet fruit “Bold raspberry and boysenberry with a hint of warm earth,” Quite succulent and plenty of spice. Oak frames the finish, but there’s enough flesh.”

The Weekly Review

2011 Wedgetail Estate Single Vineyard Shiraz
4.5 / 5

Edgy, cool-climate shiraz may not be to everyone’s taste, but here’s a good example. Only 150 cases of this wine, which was matured in 50 per cent new oak, were made. Perfumed and funky, cherry, redcurrant, stalky, sappy, meaty aromas are a delight. A silky smooth texture – it’s satin-like – bright acid and fine tannins support sweet and sour flavours of cherry, beetroot, cranberry, loam and spice. For the record, this is a style I love.
