2016 Estate Single Vineyard Chardonnay
The 2016 Chardonnay is complex, multi layered with flinty and “match stick” wrapped in vanilla and butterscotch aromas created by the barrel ferment, with it’s 30% new toasty French oak. The rich fruit gives a linear lingering mouth feel of citrus, honeysuckle and fine tannins. The wine is very approachable now, but will benefit from a couple more years of cellaring. Special Dozen available until Sunday 5th November
Cropping Level:2 Ton / Acre
Harvest at 12 beaume, hand picked early morning
Oak Treatment: 30 % New French Oak, Burgundian Coopers, 10 months in Barrels
Ferment: Whole bunch press. Barrel Ferment on wild yeast, remain on lees for 6 months.
