2016 Sauvignon blanc –
The perfect Summer Wine
Fume blanc style – this means partially barrel aged, since the word fume is French for smoked, hence the inside staves of a barrel have been smoked to buffer the harshness of the raw wood.
This technique gives a more complex style usually with rounder middle palate and a slight touch of wood tannin on the finish.
